IESLA - 2023 Russell Cole Memorial Lighting Design Competition
Tasked with lighting a new retail space in Los Angeles. Nestled between a community park, with family events, and an area with a thriving nightlife. The brief required planning for two very different target audiences. A team of 13 online blind judges sent four finalists to the live judging session, where a panel of four industry professionals heard the live presentations as well as got to ask questions to the competitors.
Vintage Heart won top prize for the conceptual category.
Vintage Heart is a retail experience filled with vintage reproductions, hearkening back to the culture and past of the neighborhood.
A combination of retro style meets industrial beauty, this is a space to shop for iconic clothing from the past reimagined.
The millwork lighting will showcase merchandise, art, jewelry and more. The lighting will highlight the clothing and architecture of the building, while drawing customers in to explore and shop.
